Oldfield Accountancy & Advisory is looking for an Accountant to join their proactive team in Coventry, West Midlands. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior team members, supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting services and carrying out a range of routine accounting tasks.

About the role:
As an Accountant, you will work alongside the Senior Accountant, supporting the preparation of accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, payroll, and bookkeeping activities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely reporting in line with internal procedures and statutory deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and review financial reports, including statutory, management, and charitable trust accounts, and assist with self-assessment, corporation tax, and partnership tax returns.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, providing accurate financial guidance and consulting senior accountants where appropriate.
- Ensure company services and products are delivered on time and within budget, handling sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
- Support and mentor junior team members, reviewing work and assisting with both internal and external queries.
- Promote compliance with accounting standards and contribute to revenue growth, cost efficiencies, and effective financial management.
About you:
As an Accountant, you will be motivated and ACA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified), with 2-3 years experience and a strong understanding of accounting principles, key tax areas (including Corporation Tax and Personal Tax), and accounting software. You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a client-focused, solutions-driven approach.
