Job Details
- Job Title: Project Manager
- Location: Close to Heathfield/Portland offices
- Job Type: Permanent, Full Time – 7:30am‑4pm
- Possible hybrid option
- Salary: Circa £35,000 – £50,000 depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects, from high volume, low value, to high value, low volume.
- Visit customer sites, conduct audits and manage teams of field technicians.
- Responsible from start to finish for project management – including quotes/approval, delivery, cost control, supplier engagement and implementation, up to invoice.
- Liaise, engage and maintain relationships directly with customers.
- Manage and oversee a team of field technicians, work orders and planning, including critical path, process orders and RAMS.
- Lead commercial project reviews and agree terms for all new projects (internal & external).
- Take ownership of accurate cost monitoring and reporting across multiple projects.
- Identify areas of risk in relation to both scope and commercial terms and develop mitigation plans with the project team.
- Author monthly status/KPI reports relating to project profitability, performance, efficiency and sales revenue planning.
- Maximise sales opportunities by engaging with customers, offering innovative solutions and encouraging all personnel to do the same.
- Utilise a consultative, problem‑solving approach and offer engineering solutions, leading to excellent customer satisfaction.
About You
- Current valid driving licence.
- Engineering background preferred.
- Experience working with engineering contracts, preferably under NEC3 & NEC4.
- Background in M&E or construction projects.
- Success in delivering engineering projects to tight deadlines.
