About the role: We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our UK team based in Deeside, UK. The role is to positively impact the plant's SAFETY performance through continuous improvement of SAFETY processes and procedures and maintain plant and equipment to a high standard utilising planned maintenance digital systems and resource deployment. In addition, it will trouble-shoot asset breakdowns, to speedily diagnose issues and resolve them and install assets to providers specification and to decommission assets to agreed standards.
Main responsibilities: In this role you'll:
- Comply with the Plant's SAFETY systems and procedures, to positively impact the Plant's SAFETY aspirations with an emphasis upon continuous SAFETY improvement.
- Directed by the Maintenance Manager deliver pre-planned scheduled Maintenance activities and maintain plant assets to the pre-determined standard.
- Repair non-functional assets in accordance with plant standards, releasing non-functional assets back into production in a speedy and reliable manner.
- Work with production personnel towards improved output efficiencies through excellent asset management and function.
- Assist with asset installations and decommissions in accordance with the maintenance schedule of activities.
- Be prepared to assist the company in activities not associated with daily activities at a time of need and necessity.
To be successful in this role you'll need:
- To be qualified mechanical engineer.
- To be qualified to complete a list of required tasks and be up to date with latest legislation and compliance requirements.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Previous maintenance department experience working within a team of mechanical and electrical engineers.
- Previous maintenance system experience.
- The ability to work unsupervised to get the job done safely and complete.
- To be a team player and appreciate that on occasions flexibility is required in terms of working hours.
