We are looking for a great classroom teacher to join our team covering maternity leave. The post will be for two terms, starting on 1 September 2026 to 21 May 2027 or until the return of the current post holder from maternity leave.

Responsibilities

  • As a qualified teacher at Old Trafford Community Academy, you will aim for your pupils to reach the highest possible standards.
  • You will create a nurturing environment that encourages learning through engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • You must have a good knowledge and understanding of subjects and curriculum areas and be able to plan appropriately for the differing needs of your class.
  • You will build positive relationships to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.
  • You will be a team player who works well with colleagues in their own year groups, phase and across the whole school.
  • You will work alongside class teachers across the school to cover PPA time and ensure continued delivery of high-quality teaching.
