A Day in the Life of a Breakfast Chef at Our Hotel:
What you'll be doing...
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring all meals are presented to a high standard and served promptly.
- Set up and maintain the breakfast station, ensuring ingredients, equipment, and supplies are ready before service begins.
- Prepare ingredients for breakfast service, including chopping, slicing, portioning, and organising mise en place.
- Cook eggs, breakfast meats, pastries, pancakes, and other breakfast menu items according to hotel recipes and standards.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and stock levels throughout service, reporting shortages to senior chefs.
- Maintain a clean, organised workstation while following all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock to minimise waste and ensure food safety compliance.
- Support the wider kitchen team when required and contribute to a smooth and efficient service.
- Carry out regular cleaning duties to keep kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas spotless.
What We Need From You:
- A passion for cooking and delivering high-quality breakfast dishes.
- Previous experience in a breakfast chef, chef de partie, commis chef, or similar kitchen role is preferred.
- Good knowledge of breakfast preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy morning service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A team-focused attitude with excellent communication skills and a willingness to support colleagues.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
