We have an exciting opportunity for a keen Live‑Out Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort. The role will give you the opportunity to learn and develop in the kitchen, with good potential to progress within the company. You should have high standards of food preparation and presentation, ensuring food waste is kept to a minimum. You will be working in one of our many kitchens: sports bar, resident kitchens, or banquet kitchens.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out cooking duties during production periods at a high standard, with a main focus on breakfast
  • Produce food which complies with the set menus and high quality expectations
  • Monitor and ensure portion control
  • Ensure the food is stored and labelled correctly
  • Ensure kitchen areas are clean after service
  • Assist the Head Chef with training new staff
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team and front of house

Qualifications

  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK
  • Level 3 in Food Hygiene (or a similar qualification) – Desirable
  • Level 2 in Food Safety/Hygiene (or a similar qualification) – Essential
  • Training in Food Allergens – Essential
  • Minimum 1‑2 years experience – Essential
  • Available to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends) – Essential
