Guesthouse Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and hospitality-driven individual to join our small team as a Guesthouse assistant. This live-in position is ideal for someone who enjoys varied responsibilities and is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests.

You will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of two guesthouses, providing support in cleaning, reception, guest services, and basic oversight of the property. This is a full-time position involving 6 working days per week, including occasional or rotational night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Services & Reception:
• Welcome and check-in/check-out guests
• Provide information about the guesthouse, local area, and amenities
• Handle guest requests and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Housekeeping & Maintenance Support:
• Assist in cleaning and preparing guest rooms and common areas
• Monitor cleanliness standards throughout the property
• Report or manage minor maintenance issues
• Property Supervision:
• Ensure the smooth daily operation of both guesthouses
• Keep inventory of supplies and communicate needs
• Maintain security and safety protocols, especially during night shifts
• General Support & Teamwork:
• Work closely with a small team, helping where needed
• Take initiative to ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction
• Support management with day-to-day tasks and oversight

Requirements:

• Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented
• Responsible, reliable, and capable of working independently
• Comfortable with flexible working hours, including night shifts
• Must be eligible to live and work in United Kingdom
• Ability to live on-site (accommodation is provided)
