Mechanical Foreman (Hydraulic Press Maintenance) , Eastern Cape, Rneg + Company Housing

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
2. N4 Certificate – Mechanical Engineering
3. Qualified Millwright
4. 5 years Manufacturing plant experience
5. 5 years general plant maintenance ADVANCED HYDRAULICS experience
6. Minimum 5 years proven supervisory management and job planning experience (advantageous)
7. Previous Agri / Forestry or Wood industry experience (advantageous)

Duties:

1. Manage all mechanical PRESS maintenance and shut work to ensure machine availability.
2. Ensure compliance to maintenance business processes within area of responsibility.
3. Develop and implement maintenance standards and maintain equipment to these standards.
4. Train and develop plant engineering team to comply with laid down standards.
5. Conduct audits to ensure compliance to standards.
6. Responsible for maintenance and incidental shut planning and execution.
7. Manage and motivate subordinates effectively.
8. Control maintenance expenditure within budget parameters for the section.

Extra Requirements:

1. Ability to communicate and manage a team.
2. Problem-solving abilities.
3. Familiar with OHASA standards.
4. Good knowledge of Hydraulics.
5. Good knowledge of Pneumatics.
6. Leadership and management skills.
7. Computer literate on Windows programs; knowledge of MS Projects will be advantageous.
8. Self-starter with a proven track record of achievement.
