About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 4 (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Pear Tree High School
This is a Grade 6, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £27,623 and the full time equivalent is £32,115.
Main purpose of the job:
As Teaching Assistant Level 4 (SEN) you will support the Co-Headteachers to ensure that all Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Annual Reviews are completed and ensure draft plans are returned to the local authority in the statutory timescale.
Key responsibilities include:
- To coordinate students’ Annual Reviews including preparing paperwork, taking minutes and communicating with stakeholders.
- To organise the timetable for EHCP reviews for the academic year, liaising with the teachers and external parties.
- To draft statutory Education Health and Care Plans for children and young people with special educational needs.
- To facilitate and co-coordinate the statutory annual review process for EHCP’s and surrounding professional meetings where needed.
- To liaise with parents/carers and appropriate professionals to support identified pupils.
About the Candidate
You will need NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience, a good working knowledge of child development and learning and excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
