The Catering Assistant position is a permanent part‑time post at Pear Tree High School, working 16 hours per week during term time, with Monday to Thursday 11.15am‑2.30pm and Friday 11.30am‑2.30pm, plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £9,749, full time equivalent £24,796 (Grade 1), starting 1st September 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, serve and present meals for students and staff.
- Set up and clean dining areas and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with food preparation, including making sandwiches and operating tills.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, complying with Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to students and staff.
