The Governors of this outstanding, Roman Catholic school are looking to appoint an exceptional, reflective and dynamic classroom practitioner to join our Key Stage 1 team.

About the Candidate

The successful person will join our Teaching Assistant team and will have the following experience:

  • Teaching Assistant experience in Key Stage 1
  • Whole class cover within Key Stage 1
  • Experience in working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong literacy and numeracy ability (a minimum grade 4 at GCSE)
  • The ability to contribute to the maintenance of school’s outstanding educational provision as well as promoting the spiritual, moral and cultural development of pupils.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, caring, energetic and self-motivated. They must have the desire to help pupils reach their potential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a practising catholic or willing to support the catholic ethos of the school
  • Recent and relevant Teaching Assistant experience in Key Stage 1
  • Be prepared to work collaboratively with our experienced and highly skilled staff
  • Have numeracy/literacy skills at GCSE level 4 or above
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Have sound knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Have high expectations of pupils’ achievement
  • Be able to support children in addressing gaps in their learning
