We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of History to join our fantastic team at MEA Central. This is a permanent post, to start in September 2026, Teaching terms MPS-UPS.
We’re looking for:
- A qualified and experienced Teacher of History, eligible to work in the UK with successful experience in the 11-16 phase.
- Thorough subject knowledge and an understanding of current curriculum developments.
- The ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning.
- Experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils and a passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
- Excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.
Main purpose of the job:
To improve the standards of learning and raise levels of student achievement for all students in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that students experience an educational programme that is personalised to their needs, developing their skills and abilities.
- Actively promote relevant History subject-related activities to promote students’ enthusiasm and interest.
- Work collaboratively within the History subject team to reflect the whole school vision.
- Foster a positive working environment in the History curriculum area that supports students’ learning.
- Play a part in the pastoral development of students, particularly acting as a form tutor for a group of students.
- Play an active part in the provision of a range of enrichment activities and extra-curricular activities across the curriculum area.
