- Essential Car Documentation - This post is a designated Essential Car User. Therefore, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work. You will receive the Essential Car User Allowance.
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Responsibilities
- Complete Alcohol and Drug Care Act assessments and strength-based assessments, identifying required support and removing barriers to enable individuals to engage with services, working alongside health partners and third sector colleagues in completing joint assessments and support planning.
- Lead on complex adult safeguarding work, working with partners to support chaotic citizens in a variety of settings, including direct work with rough sleeping populations and those involved in the criminal justice system.
- Provide positive assessment and planning of individual packages of support for citizens and carers. Provide Social Work support in the form of long-term direct casework.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with the appropriate guidelines, policy and procedures.
- Promote independence and wellbeing of adults of working age and/or older people; assist social inclusion and valued community presence and enable the widest possible expression of chosen lifestyle.
You/Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England. Experience working with substance misuse and multi-agency collaboration is desirable.
Desirable and Mandatory Requirements
- Essential Car User status (as above)
- DBS clearance
- Right to work checks as per Home Office guidance (visa sponsorship not available for this role)
