About The Role

Working Hours: 35 Hours Per Week (8.30am – 4.15pm with 45 minutes for lunch. Flexible WFH one or two days a week).

Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent.

Closing Date: 06 July 2026.

Interview Method: Face to Face.

Right to Work: Must evidence right to work in the UK before commencement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technicians and respond to a range of pest issues, from rodents and insects to bedbugs and fleas across council premises, homes and businesses.
  • Diagnose pest problems, design bespoke treatment plans and educate residents and stakeholders on prevention.
  • Supported by Manchester City Council to gain formal qualifications such as BPCA Level 3 Award in Pest Management and clear pathways to promotion and salary increases.

Key Experience and Qualifications

  • Delivering pest control services in residential, commercial or public sector environments.
  • Investigating and resolving complex infestations using a range of methods.
  • Advising customers and stakeholders on prevention strategies.
  • Working independently, managing a varied caseload across locations.
  • Using digital systems to record visits, treatments and outcomes.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners for public health initiatives.
  • BPCA Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a senior or supervisory pest control role.
  • Strong knowledge of pest biology, legislation and safe pesticide use.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Ability to assess risk and apply health and safety protocols.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Manchester.
