Essential Car Documentation: This post is a designated Essential Car User. Therefore, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work. You will receive the Essential Car User Allowance.
Positions: 2 full time positions – 1 x Property Inspections Team, 1 x Ten Year Leasing Team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an area of properties ensuring inspections are up to date, outstanding repairs completed within the correct timeframe, any issues are resolved, and tasks completed within deadlines.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
- Negotiate with landlords to ensure timely completion of repairs and to address identified risks or hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations and inspections, produce detailed reports and provide technical advice regarding enforcement of relevant legislation.
- Identify current and potential safeguarding risks and make timely referrals to appropriate services.
- Deliver professional, detailed advice and assistance to service users in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
- Work collaboratively with providers and landlords and demonstrate resilience under pressure.
- Complete incident reports and report unusual circumstances that may impact the environment and well-being of residents, visitors and businesses.
Candidate Profile:
- Good understanding of homelessness, service objectives and priorities.
- Ability to manage own workload, completing inspections in a sensitive and timely manner to meet the needs of service users.
- Take ownership for resolving problems and work independently to address issues.
- Investigate cases of disrepair, manage risk, and plan and deliver interventions to protect the safety and well-being of residents.
- Provide technical advice regarding the enforcement of relevant legislation, adhering to policies and procedures within set parameters.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations and inspections.
- Display a personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.
- Hold a full UK driving licence, have sole access to a car and be able to obtain business insurance.

- Experience carrying out inspections, audits, or investigations; ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working independently, taking ownership of problem resolution with clear learning outcomes.
