Responsibilities
We are looking to recruit Private Rented Sector Officers in our PRS Team within the Homelessness Directorate. You will work in a busy team, managing a varied caseload of service users face‑to‑face and over the telephone. You will be required to look for accommodation for households who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, source accommodation to resolve clients’ homeless journey within the private rented sector and meet landlords or letting agents inside and outside of Manchester to secure accommodation. You will need excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to inspect properties for health & safety compliance and a decent standard, and receive full training in line with Housing, Health & Safety System requirements.
Eligibility & Checking
- BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance must be obtained prior to commencing.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance is required.
- Proof of right to work in the UK is mandatory.
