Qualification - EHRB/CIEH registered Environmental Health Officer/ Registered Environmental Health Practitioner/Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with experience of food enforcement and to have maintained their competencies. Candidates must have an Environmental Health Degree or Diploma.
2 temporary vacancies have arisen in the Food, Health and Safety and Airport Team at Manchester City Council to cover maternity leave. If you would like a new challenge in a vibrant and diverse city where your contribution to public safety is valued then this opportunity would be perfect for you.
You will be responsible for a busy and varied workload in a friendly and supportive team, focussing on inspection programmes, responding to service requests, undertaking investigations and sampling. You will work across food hygiene, food standards and health and safety disciplines. The team also has several Primary Authority partnerships.
We operate highly flexible working arrangements including flexitime, home working, optional office bases across the city, no core hours and compressed working options to enable you to effectively manage your work life balance. You will need to be highly motivated, able to work well as part of a team, flexible and committed to personal development.
