Working Hours: 17.5 Hours Per Week (Wednesday PM, Thursday and Friday full-time)

References: 2 references required (3 years’ history where possible).
Qualifications: Hold EHRB registration or CIEH Registered Food Safety Practitioner status or equivalent. Willingness to enrol and complete a professional qualification leading to CIEH Registered Food Safety Practitioner status or equivalent. (Development salary may apply while working towards registered status.)
Registration: CIEH or EHORB Registration.
Casual Car Documentation: Designated Casual Car User; responsible for occasional car journeys, must hold a full valid driving licence, provide own car and supply appropriate documentation. Allowance per mile for business use.
Responsibilities
- Inspect programmes, respond to service requests, undertake investigations and sampling.
- Inspect premises required to be registered for ear piercing, tattooing/acupuncture, etc.
- Process Export Health certificates.
- Support EHO’s/EHP’s in the team; provide assistance with project work where required.
- Work closely with a friendly and supportive team, contributing to public safety.

Desirable Requirements
- Degree or Masters in Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent.
- Hold EHRB registration or Chartered Status with CIEH.
- Knowledge of Corporate Enforcement Policy, Regulator Code, enforcement procedures, PACE, RIPA, Data Protection Act, GDPR and court evidence.
- Understanding of legislation relevant to enforcement in Food Safety, Health and Safety, and a practical approach to its application.
- Willingness to consent to and apply for an enhanced disclosure check.
- Previous experience in a regulatory area.
