About The Role

Working hours: 21 hours per week, to be worked over 3 days.

Contract type: Permanent.

Working style: Hybrid – Employees split their time between working remotely (e.g., from home) and working on‑site (e.g., in an office).

The role is in the Exchequer Services, CS Payments Team. It is an exciting, busy and challenging role, dealing with all aspects of payments for Manchester City Council. It involves working closely with all service areas within the Council and external partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional, customer focused, specialist technical support which enables the delivery of service objectives and provides a high-quality service to stakeholders in line with guidelines, policies and procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Support the delivery of a range of projects, initiatives or work packages that comply with relevant legislation and help achieve the Council’s corporate aims and objectives.
  • Use your technical knowledge and expertise to develop, design and implement customer-focused solutions for the assigned service area.
  • Act as a key member of the team and will ensure high standards of customer service and service delivery.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues in the Purchase Ledger, Data Management and Income Management teams.
