We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Teacher to join our fantastic team at MEA Central. This is a permanent position on Teaching terms, MPS-UPS to start in September 2026.

We’re looking for:

  • You will need to be qualified to teach and work in the UK with successful experience in the 11-16 phase.
  • You will need to have thorough subject knowledge and an understanding of current curriculum developments.
  • You will also be a good communicator with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • You will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning.
  • You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people.
  • As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.
  • You will be required to teach a range of subjects to high school students at a high standard across the Academy as required to support with planned and unplanned absences.
  • You will be responsible for improving the standards of learning and raising levels of student achievement for all students and expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers.
