We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin and Finance Officer to join our fantastic team at Piper Hill High School. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Admin & Finance Officer to join our dedicated team and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our school’s administrative and financial operations. This is a Grade 4, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £22,710 and the full time equivalent is £26,403.

Main purpose of the job

This is a varied and rewarding role where your attention to detail and ability to multitask will make a real impact. Reporting to the School Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing invoices, raising payments, and liaising with suppliers
  • Managing petty cash and banking procedures
  • Supporting financial reporting and ensuring compliance with school financial regulations
  • Providing high‑quality administrative support including word processing, diary management, and meeting coordination
  • Maintaining accurate manual and digital records and producing reports
  • Supporting pupil welfare, including first aid and liaising with parents
  • Acting as a first point of contact at reception and handling enquiries professionally
  • Assisting with school events, travel arrangements, and general office duties
