Responsibilities
In this role you will work face‑to‑face with Manchester’s homeless community across 12 supported houses, including 6 male houses, 2 women’s houses, 4 young persons houses and a fully accessible 12‑bed mixed project for low‑ to medium‑sized individuals experiencing homelessness. Your tasks will include:
- Supporting residents in universal credit and bank account set‑up
- Providing drug and alcohol referrals
- Mental health referrals
- Budgeting advice
- Helping obtain formal ID
- Creating personalised support plans
- Listening to concerns
- Assisting them in moving onto suitable long‑term accommodation
- Preparing rooms for re‑let
- Cleaning rooms
- Checking health and safety
- Reporting necessary repairs
