About The Role
Old Mission is looking for an ETF Sales Trader in our London office that will help build and maintain meaningful trading relationships on behalf of the firm. This person will be a German-speaking salesperson, covering the European market with a focus on Germany. This individual will work with our institutional clients to execute their trading strategies, leveraging Old Mission’s technology and global trading desks to deliver a positive and consistent experience. Still a small, yet growing team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with institutional clients of the firm
- Work closely with our principal trading desks, serving as a central point of contact between internal stakeholders and our external clients and partners
- Ensure efficient execution of ETF block orders via RFQ platforms or voice, as well as working orders
- Cross sell with other global trading desks within Old Mission (US ETFs, Equities, etc.)
- Willingness to travel / attend industry events and client meetings as needed
- Assist clients with pre/post trade information as needed
Required Skills
- 2-5+ years of experience in a sales and/or sales trading role (Fixed Income, ETFs, and/or Equities) within financial markets
- Fluent German speaking
- Existing understanding of European market structure
- Willing to be on the road often (5-10 business days per month)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail – working with customers & internal trade desks
- Team player and go-getter attitude
- Bachelor\’s or advanced degree in relevant field
