We are seeking an ambitious, hardworking, dedicated chef to work alongside our head chef. You must be able to take control of the kitchen when our head chef is off.
The Old Farmhouse is a very busy, fast paced restaurant, which is very popular with locals and visitors. We are a mix of pub classics and modern dishes. We pride ourselves on serving fresh dishes.
Life, work balance is key to our business and we offer a great starting wage with bonuses and tips. Working 4 days a week, always Monday & Tuesday, rotational 3rd day off. We DO NOT offer live in, you must be willing to travel. Wage is dependent on level of skills, knowledge and reliability.
Duties:- Oversee the kitchen operations and ensure food quality meets the highest standards
- Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation processes
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practice
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Qualifications in food and hygiene level 3
- Familiarity with food production processes, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
