Role Description

This is a part‑time (32.75 hours per week), term‑time only, on‑site role located in Royal Wootton Bassett for an Early Years Practitioner. The role involves working closely with young children to support their development, planning and delivering engaging and creative activities, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. The practitioner will also collaborate with parents and caregivers and ensure that each child’s individual needs are met in alignment with the pre‑school’s values and policies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Development and experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with children, parents, and team members.
• Creativity skills for designing and leading learning activities.
• Relevant childcare qualifications are required – we are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare.
• An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to the health, safety, and well‑being of children.
• First aid training and a valid background check/DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance are beneficial; however, not essential as we can provide this as part of the employment process.
