We're looking for a chef to join the fantastic team at Old Course Ranfurly! Early in 2025, the club moved away from a franchise model to bring catering in-house. After a positive start to our in-house operation, we are looking to add a chef to our team as we approach the busy summer months. Old Course Ranfurly is known for its vibrant social scene and welcoming clubhouse atmosphere and this position will be a key member of the team tasked with maintaining and growing our clubhouse operation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
- Help to develop and innovate new menu items and specials.
- Support the kitchen operations, including inventory control, food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure seamless service including during events and competitions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of various food techniques and cuisines.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards working in a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Relevant food safety qualifications.
