About the Role
Our award-winning kitchen team have an exciting new opportunity for a Chef De Partie to join our Pastry team on a permanent full-time basis. You will create exquisite plated desserts varying from 3 rosettes to intricate afternoon tea pastries using locally sourced Scottish produce.
In this role you will assist Head Pastry Chef in the preparation and service of food ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. Additionally, you will ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the Old Course Hotel standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage and oversee food production as directed by the Senior Team and to present it at the times required.
- Maintaining discipline in a fair and consistent manner including timekeeping.
- Competency in plated desserts, chocolate work and patisserie.
- Ensure all HACCAP systems are followed, and due diligence is completed on a day-to-day basis by you and the team.
- To be fully conversant with your departmental LQA standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Similar experience in 5-star establishment.
- Culinary education preferred but not essential.
- Good knowledge of culinary terminology and techniques.
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £31,769.40 per annum + TRONC
