Our award-winning kitchen team have an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef to join our Pastry department on a permanent full-time basis. You will create exquisite dishes using locally sourced Scottish produce and be responsible for having your own section whilst gaining invaluable guidance and development within a multi outlet hotel kitchen.
In this role you will assist the Pastry Sous Chef in the preparation and service of food ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. Additionally, you will ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the Old Course Hotel standards.
- Manage and oversee food production as directed by the Senior Team and present it at the times required.
- Assist the Pastry Sous Chef in the planning, preparation and execution of new menus and ideas.
- Make sure that the Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs are working to standard, supervise, guide and motivate them.
- Assist the Pastry Sous chef in the ordering of food purchases and stock control, ensuring that stock levels are in line with business levels.
- Understand the menus and operating procedure of the kitchen and run your section accordingly.
Full time, 40 hours per week.
