About the Role
Our award-winning Food and Beverage team are at the hub of our business, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced supervisor to join our Swilcan Loft Restaurant. Swilcan Loft is a 74-cover restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace overlooking the 17th hole of the Old Course and one of golf’s most famous landmarks, Swilcan Bridge – from which Swilcan Loft takes its name. The successful candidate will support our Food and Beverage Management Team, this role is responsible for co-ordinating activities during service and providing assistance to the team. This role will help deliver our established service standards to create magical memories for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining standards and operating procedures
- Ensuring all service and bar processes are followed, taking every effort to control costs
- Support and coach direct reports effectively, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is provided to all guests
- Resolving any guest complaints satisfactorily, ensuring all expectations are met and retaining customer loyalty
- Forecasting for staffing requirements, ensuring staff volumes are adequate
- Maintaining high standards of performance via appraisals and personal development plans, in line with our business values and objectives
- Drive the success of our Food and Beverage Team through identifying continuous improvement areas
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in supervising teams within a restaurant environment.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate associates effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and culinary practices related to beverage service.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
