Position DetailsWe are hiring a School Age Assistant Group Leader at our Halifax location.
- Hours: The before-school program opens at 7am until school begins. The afternoon hours are from school dismissal until 6pm.
Under the supervision of the School Age Site Coordinator, the Assistant Group Leader will help supervise the program and ensure a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for children. All responsibilities should reflect the mission and values of the Old Colony YMCA.
Program Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with EEC regulations and Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy).
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing the program curriculum in accordance with regulations and policies.
- Meet regularly with the School Age Site Coordinator.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly curriculum meetings.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.
