The Student Recruitment and Partnerships Officer will support the growth of the college by developing and managing recruitment partnerships, particularly with recruitment agents, and by contributing to student recruitment initiatives across all campuses.

The role focuses on student recruitment, agent relationship management, outreach and events, and cross-campus collaboration, working closely with academic teams, marketing colleagues, and professional services staff to increase applications, enrolments, and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Recruitment
    • Support the delivery of the college’s student recruitment strategy to increase applications and enrolments across all programmes.
    • Work with academic staff and professional services teams to promote courses and opportunities to prospective students.
    • Contribute to initiatives that increase student referrals, including refer-a-friend campaigns and student ambassador activities.
    • Support applicant conversion activities and provide guidance to prospective students and partners on programme information and entry requirements.
  • Agent Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with recruitment agents and other external recruitment partners.
    • Manage agent communications and provide clear guidance on programme offerings, entry criteria, and the student application process.
    • Monitor and manage recruitment targets for agents and partners.
    • Provide regular feedback to agents regarding applicant progress, documentation requirements, and admissions outcomes.
    • Ensure partners are kept up to date with institutional developments, programme updates, and recruitment priorities.
  • Outreach and Events
    • Represent the college at recruitment fairs, community events, partner meetings, and outreach activities.
    • Support the planning and delivery of open days, information sessions, and recruitment events.
    • Deliver presentations to prospective students, partners, and stakeholders about programmes and student opportunities.
    • Work with marketing colleagues to ensure events and outreach activities align with wider recruitment campaigns.
    • Liaise with academic teams to identify recruitment opportunities and promote programmes.
    • Work closely with the Marketing and Recruitment Manager and the Social Media and Digital Officer to support digital campaigns and recruitment communications.
    • Support cross-college initiatives designed to improve the student recruitment pipeline and enhance partnership engagement.
  • Data, Reporting and Market Intelligence
    • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, applications, partner activity, and recruitment outcomes.
    • Produce statistical reports on recruitment activity, agent performance, and student conversion rates.
    • Analyse recruitment data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Contribute to regular reporting for senior management on recruitment performance and pipeline development.
  • General Duties
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of student recruitment processes.
    • Ensure compliance with institutional policies including data protection, equality, and safeguarding.
    • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.
Person Specification
  • Experience in student recruitment, business development, partnership management, or a similar role.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple campuses and teams.
  • Experience of statistical reporting, data interpretation, and numerical analysis to support decision-making.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel between campuses and attend recruitment events when required.
  • Experience working within higher education, further education, or student recruitment.
  • Experience of working with recruitment agents or external partners.
  • A degree or a Level 5 professional qualification in any subject.
  • Experience using CRM systems or student recruitment databases.
  • Understanding of student recruitment cycles and admissions processes.
