We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant. This is a full-time position offering a hybrid working arrangement, with both home and office-based work. This role provides broad exposure across transactional finance and month-end processes, making it ideal for someone studying or who has completed their AAT qualification and is looking to further develop their accounting career.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and filing electronically
- Managing invoice queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Chasing outstanding payments via email
- Monitoring aged debt and escalating accounts requiring further action
- Producing weekly aged debt analysis reports
- Assisting with the preparation of month-end management accounts
- Producing ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required
- Providing general administrative support to the finance function
- Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Studying towards or having completed the AAT qualification
- Strong computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Confident working independently while contributing to team objectives
- Highly organised with a proactive and professional approach
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
