Okwin is an international IT services and consulting company with offices in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique, delivering innovative solutions in IT operations, infrastructure and managed services. We are looking for an experienced Freelance IT Field Technician to support a multinational industrial client across several UK manufacturing sites. This is an excellent opportunity for independent IT contractors looking for short-term assignments with potential for ongoing projects within the UK operations.

Project Details

  • Coverage period: 6th–10th July 2026
  • Paid transition & handover week before project start
  • Possibility of future assignments with the same client
  • Immediate availability highly preferred

Locations

  • Main activity around Blackburn, with possible travel to:
    • Leyland
    • Thurmaston
    • Flint
    • Bridgwater
  • Travel and mileage expenses covered according to project policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site IT support to end users
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
  • Support Windows environments, printers and mobile devices
  • Assist with Office 365 and Azure administration
  • Coordinate with remote international IT teams
  • Travel between customer sites when required

Technical Requirements

  • Previous experience in IT Field Support or similar hands-on roles
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Windows OS
    • Office 365 Admin Center
    • Azure environments
    • Networking fundamentals
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required
