This is a new position for a Fully Remote Senior Python Engineer with a global health and life sciences company. The focus is to work on the continued development of their proprietary platform which is used to leverage advanced data analytics and AI, to power insight-driven strategy and optimise stakeholder engagement to their healthcare and life sciences customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions (Azure/AWS).
- Design and maintain robust backend systems, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Kubernetes, Airflow, and Databricks.
- Apply best practices in model tracking, versioning, monitoring, logging, and retraining workflows.
- Align technical delivery with business goals while optimising system performance and cost.
- Produce clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to a supportive, high-performing engineering culture.
Required qualifications:
- Strong software engineering background with experience in production-grade systems.
- Advanced Python skills for both backend and data applications.
- Deep knowledge of Azure, AWS, containers, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience of debugging, problem-solving, and version control (including model versioning).
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience, with a focus on iteration and collaboration.
- Experience fine-tuning LLMs (good to have).
