This is a newly created position for a Project Manager to support a major technology transformation programme within a well established UK company, delivering infrastructure, cloud, managed service and enterprise systems projects.
This is a hands-on technical Project Management role, working with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, external suppliers and managed service providers to deliver projects from initial scoping through to implementation and operational handover.
You will be asked to
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure, cloud and enterprise technology projects.
- Manage project planning, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate technical teams, external suppliers and managed service providers.
- Oversee system implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations and infrastructure deployments.
- Manage testing, cutover, go-live and transition into operational support.
- Ensure solutions meet architecture, security, data protection and governance standards.
- Maintain clear project documentation and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Support procurement and tendering processes where required.
And should have
- Proven experience delivering complex IT infrastructure, cloud or enterprise systems projects.
- Experience managing system implementations, upgrades and technical migrations.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, Saa S environments and managed IT services.
- Experience managing technical suppliers, contractors and managed service providers.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management and governance skills.
- Experience working with technical teams, including infrastructure engineers, architects and application specialists.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of information security, GDPR and
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ or an equivalent project management qualification.
Experience delivering network deployments, office technology projects or service transitions would be beneficial.
This role would suit a technically confident Project Manager who can manage complex dependencies, challenge suppliers and ensure projects are successfully transitioned into a stable live environment.
