Oklo is seeking a highly strategic, commercially minded, and globally oriented leader to shape the deployment of advanced nuclear power worldwide. The Senior Director, Global Power Origination & Market Development will lead the exploration and evaluation of global market opportunities, strategic partnerships, infrastructure ecosystems, government initiatives, and commercial pathways for advanced nuclear deployment. This role sits at the intersection of global energy markets, infrastructure strategy, commercial origination, government affairs, industrial development, and long‑term corporate strategy. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, commercially sophisticated, highly analytical, and comfortable operating in ambiguity while defining new market opportunities. The role will work closely with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams to assess strategic advantage and structure commercial frameworks and partnerships. International travel will be significant. Candidates must be based in the Netherlands or United Kingdom.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Global Market Development & Opportunity Exploration: Identify and evaluate emerging global market opportunities for advanced nuclear deployment across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia‑Pacific, Latin America, and strategic industrial regions globally. Analyze global electricity market dynamics, industrial growth trends, energy security initiatives, and infrastructure investment patterns. Help Oklo understand how advanced nuclear can integrate into evolving global power systems, industrial ecosystems, and critical infrastructure networks. Evaluate market structures, regulatory environments, energy pricing frameworks, and deployment barriers across international jurisdictions. Develop strategic market perspectives on where advanced nuclear can create the greatest commercial and infrastructure value.
  • Strategic Origination & Commercial Structuring: Build and develop relationships with utilities and grid operators, hyperscalers and data center developers, industrial energy users, infrastructure developers, strategic investors, governments and ministries, sovereign wealth funds, and energy and infrastructure partners. Explore, originate, and structure strategic partnership opportunities that could accelerate deployment and market entry. Support development and negotiation of strategic cooperation agreements, joint development agreements, memorandums of understanding, power purchase concepts and frameworks, long‑term energy supply agreements, infrastructure and co‑development partnerships, and public‑private partnership structures. Help develop creative commercial frameworks that align Oklo’s technology and deployment model with customer, government, and infrastructure partner objectives. Work cross‑functionally with legal, finance, commercial, and leadership teams to support deal execution and strategic negotiations.
  • Government Affairs & Strategic Policy Analysis: Monitor global policy developments related to nuclear energy, industrial policy, energy security, grid modernization, AI infrastructure growth, decarbonization initiatives, and strategic manufacturing. Support engagement strategies with governments, regulators, and strategic policy stakeholders. Identify strategic public‑private partnership opportunities and government‑backed infrastructure initiatives. Analyze how geopolitical and policy developments may create new opportunities or risks for advanced nuclear deployment.
  • Strategic Funding & Infrastructure Finance: Identify and evaluate strategic funding pathways including sovereign investment programs, export credit agencies, infrastructure financing initiatives, strategic grants and incentives, public‑private investment partnerships, and industrial development programs. Support evaluation of commercial and financing structures that could enable scalable deployment economics. Partner with finance and leadership teams to assess strategic investment opportunities and infrastructure funding models.
  • Global Infrastructure & Supply Chain Strategy: Assess global infrastructure ecosystems and supply chain capabilities relevant to advanced nuclear deployment. Explore strategic manufacturing, construction, logistics, and fuel‑cycle partnership opportunities. Analyze long‑term infrastructure bottlenecks, localization opportunities, and deployment scalability considerations. Support strategic thinking around how Oklo can participate in broader energy and industrial infrastructure build‑outs globally.
  • Corporate Strategy & Executive Advisory: Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on emerging global energy market opportunities and long‑term infrastructure trends. Help frame strategic questions around deployment locations, attractive markets, key partnerships, evolving energy markets, infrastructure constraints, and commercial structures that accelerate deployment. Translate complex market, geopolitical, infrastructure, and commercial dynamics into actionable strategic recommendations. Contribute to Oklo’s long‑term market positioning and global commercialization strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10–20+ years of experience in global energy markets, power origination, infrastructure development, strategic partnerships, energy strategy, government affairs, infrastructure finance, or industrial development.
  • Strong understanding of global power markets, infrastructure systems, and energy industry dynamics.
  • Experience evaluating and structuring complex commercial opportunities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to operate strategically across technical, commercial, regulatory, and geopolitical topics.
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to identify emerging market opportunities.
  • Experience structuring large‑scale partnerships, infrastructure agreements, or energy transactions.
  • Familiarity with power origination, energy contracting structures, infrastructure partnerships, strategic investment frameworks, utility or industrial procurement models.
  • Ability to synthesize fragmented market information into strategic insights and executable commercial opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities to evaluate market structures, infrastructure constraints, industrial load growth, policy frameworks, commercial viability, and strategic deployment considerations.
