We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a well-established wholesale business with a strong market presence and significant stock holdings. This is a senior leadership role, across multiple sites with full commercial, operational, and financial responsibility, reporting directly to the Board.
The successful candidate will have sales leadership experience gained in a complex, multi-site commercial organisation. You will have improved margins and lead sizeable teams in wholesale or trade-supply environments (building materials / technical products etc.). A key priority will be developing and executing a structured sales strategy to deliver profitable growth, increased market share, and stronger customer relationships.
Key Requirements:
- Senior leadership experience in building materials wholesale, builders merchants, or trade distribution
- Proven P&L responsibility in a β¬20m turnover business
- Strong sales leadership, margin management, and stock control experience
- Ability to lead and develop teams of 50 employees
- Commercially astute, results-driven, and an effective relationship builder
