Job Summary
Reporting to the Logistics Manager and supervised by the Warehouse Team leader, you will have the responsibility as a member of a small team, to ensure all processes within the warehouse environment are completed to the required standard, and also in a timely manner to meet our corporate goals and objectives. Responsible for maintaining the housekeeping of the working areas in line with Health and Safety legislations. You will also be a point of contact for our customer services department regarding providing information on shipments. Supporting the customer service team, you will ensure we meet the customers’ demands for product delivery.
Job Duties
- Goods inwards processing and receiving into the ERP system
- Housekeeping compliance
- Pick/pack shipments in line with a set schedule and also where required
- Creation of electronics shipment paperwork using windows based applications
- Locate inventory in FG locations or where necessary
- Cycle counting on a regular basis to ensure the integrity of the stock balances
- Completion of necessary paperwork for Export shipments where necessary
- Consolidation of shipments for exhibition
- Book shipments for collection with external sources
Additional Ad-hoc Duties
- As part of a team, support the Logistics Manager in the maintaining of the site
- Participate in group discussions to identify areas of possible improvement through working processes
- Any other duties where required
- Quality inspections on new and problematic products returned from customers where necessary
- Prepacking of products through a Work order function
- Wire de-reeling
- Consignment stock consumption
Work Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment
- Forklift use and license
Skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of the Glovia ERP system or similar program
- Experience in the handling of shipments for export
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work alone or part of a team whilst maintaining a good standard of work
Education Requirements
- GCSE level Maths and English or equivalent
Essential Physical Job Requirements/Working Conditions
- Fit and able to perform manual activities as part of a daily role
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Pay Range: £26,000.00 - £27,600.00 annually
