Summary: Working at OK COOL as a Junior Creative means you're a culturally curious, social-first thinker with a passion for bringing ideas to life. You're proactive, collaborative and eager to learn, with a strong understanding of digital culture and the platforms where audiences spend their time. You know how to turn insights into engaging creative concepts, communicate your ideas clearly, and work closely with strategists, designers, creators and production teams to deliver standout social content. You're organised, adaptable and excited by the opportunity to contribute to projects from ideation through to execution. You will ultimately be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of creative work across a range of clients, helping to create culturally relevant, platform-native ideas that drive engagement and deliver exceptional results for our brands.
Your mission: To develop culturally relevant, social-first creative ideas that help our clients connect with audiences in meaningful ways. You'll work closely with senior creatives, strategists, designers, creators and production teams to bring ideas to life from concept through to execution while continuously building your creative craft.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
- Developing social-first creative concepts and campaign ideas for clients.
- Collaborating with Senior Creatives and Associate Creative Directors to develop creative responses to client briefs.
- Creating and presenting creative ideas, mood boards, scamps and reference materials to clearly communicate concepts to internal project teams.
- Briefing creators, designers and production teams alongside Senior Creatives & ACDs to produce approved creative ideas.
- Reviewing creator concepts, scripts, storyboards and production treatments, providing constructive feedback to ensure creative quality.
- Working closely with creative, strategy, account management and production teams throughout the creative process.
- Designing and creating simple social content yourself that doesn’t require creator or full production support.
- Researching cultural trends, platform developments and emerging creators to inspire fresh, relevant ideas.
- Ensuring all creative work aligns with client objectives, brand guidelines and platform best practice.
- Supporting on content shoots where required.
- Managing multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Contributing positively to creative brainstorms, internal initiatives and the wider agency culture.
Relevant experience:
- 1–2 years' experience in a creative, social, content or advertising role (agency experience preferred).
- A portfolio demonstrating strong creative thinking and social-first ideas across digital platforms.
- Experience creating content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and other emerging social channels.
- Experience collaborating with designers, creators or production teams is desirable.
Required skills:
- Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving.
- Excellent understanding of social media trends, culture and platform behaviours.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both visually and verbally.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback.
- Basic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or Figma) are advantageous.
- A collaborative mindset with a proactive, positive attitude.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
