Our client is a business operating right at the cutting edge of the energy transition. They provide revolutionary nuclear power solutions to the maritime industry in the form of Floating Nuclear Power Plants. The organisation finances, builds, integrates and deploys these new nuclear energy systems for a range of clients on a global scale.

Due to continued growth of the business and its ambitious plans, our client is looking to add to the strength of its legal team by bringing on an enthusiastic and talented junior legal counsel.

Role

  • Supporting the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel on joint ventures, shareholder agreements, financing arrangements and major commercial contracts.
  • Assisting with corporate development activities including acquisitions, capital markets initiatives and project finance transactions involving nuclear and energy infrastructure assets.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and corporate documents, with increasing autonomy as experience develops.

Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with between NQ-3 years of PQE (England & Wales preferred, but our client is also happy to consider candidates qualified in other common law jurisdictions).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision, while taking ownership of tasks.
  • Direct experience in one or more of the following would be preferred; Corporate/M&A; Project finance or infrastructure transactions; Capital markets; Energy regulatory; Export control and sanctions compliance.
