We’re working with a growing, fast-paced business that’s looking to hire an Operations & Compliance Manager to take ownership of a critical part of the operation. This is a hands-on role at the centre of the business. You’ll be responsible for managing compliance across onboarding, workforce records and vehicle requirements, while also supporting and guiding a small team day to day. You’ll need to be comfortable working at pace, stepping into the detail when required, and bringing structure to a busy environment. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in improving processes, maintaining standards and making sure everything runs as it should.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee onboarding and ensure all workers are fully compliant before starting
- Maintain and manage ongoing candidate compliance, keeping records accurate and audit-ready
- Manage vehicle compliance, ensuring all documentation and checks are in place
- Coordinate and track training and upskilling across the workforce
- Work closely with the team to ensure processes are followed consistently
- Step into the workload directly during busy periods
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current processes and implement improvements
- Support and guide team members to maintain high standards
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing compliance processes in a high-volume environment such as recruitment, logistics, construction or similar
- Track record of overseeing onboarding and maintaining accurate, audit-ready records at scale
- Strong experience using CRM or compliance systems to manage workforce data and documentation
- Experience improving or implementing operational processes within a team or function
- Previous experience supporting or managing others in a team environment
- Experience in one of the following is preferred:
- Recruitment or workforce compliance
- Logistics, transport or fleet-based operations
- Construction or other compliance-heavy environments
- Operations or office management roles with clear process ownership
