The Role
OJ Digital is recruiting an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver for an established distribution business based in Thame, Oxfordshire.
This is a permanent day-driving position focused on local palletised collection and delivery work. You'll generally work with the same vehicle and regular routes, giving you considerably more consistency than many Class 2 driving roles.
The business provides suitable vehicles and electric pallet trucks, although there is some physical work involved with certain deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver palletised freight across assigned local routes
- Complete deliveries safely, efficiently and on time
- Operate vehicles ranging from 3.5t to 18t where required
- Carry out tail-lift operations
- Follow all transport, pallet network and Health & Safety procedures
- Deal professionally with customers during deliveries and collections
- Keep your vehicle presentable and represent the business professionally
- Support occasional additional distribution requirements
- Keep Driver CPC training up to date
- Valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- At least 12 months' Class 2 driving experience
- Experience operating curtain-sided vehicles
- Comfortable carrying out tail-lift operations
- Happy working independently and managing your own delivery route
- Reliable, flexible and comfortable working as part of a wider transport team
- 45 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Hours broadly between 7:30am and 5:30pm
- One Saturday morning per month, paid as overtime
- 22 days' annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
