We’re partnering with an established specialist business operating within ground support, propping and temporary works solutions, supporting contractors and engineering teams across complex construction projects. This is a senior, field based technical sales role, focused on developing long term client relationships and supporting projects from early enquiry through to delivery. The position combines technical understanding with commercial responsibility, operating closely with site teams, engineers and decision makers. This is not a purely transactional sales role. You’ll be trusted to advise on the right solution for each project, act as a technical sounding board for clients, and manage opportunities through to completion.
- Develop new business opportunities across ground support, propping and temporary works
- Manage and grow a portfolio of live accounts and construction projects across Kent
- Engage with contractors, engineers, consultants and procurement teams
- Prepare quotations, proposals and tender submissions aligned to project requirements
- Deliver technical discussions and solution recommendations based on drawings and site constraints
- Work closely with internal engineering teams on designs, calculations and bespoke solutions
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver against agreed targets
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date
- Feed back market insight, competitor activity and industry trends
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven sales experience within construction, engineering or a technical environment
- Confidence operating in a client facing, consultative sales role
- Ability to understand drawings, specifications and site requirements
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Well organised, self motivated and comfortable managing your own territory
- Competent using CRM systems and standard office software
- Experience with ground support, propping, shoring or temporary works systems
- Civil, construction or engineering related qualifications
- Existing relationships with contractors, engineers or project teams
The Package
- Basic salary: £50,000 to £55,000
- On target earnings: additional £10,000 to £15,000
- Field based role covering Kent
- Regular site and client visits
- Occasional overnight stays for meetings or training
