About us
Òir Group is an independent Edinburgh hospitality company behind four distinctive venues: Uncle Tiger (Asian street food), Lucky Yu (neighbourhood Asian restaurant), Bodega (tacos & margaritas) and The Captain Darling (modern neighbourhood pub). Each venue has its own personality, menu, audience and voice. Whether it’s neighbourhood dining, tacos and margaritas, Asian street food or a proper gastropub, every brand has its own story to tell. We’re a hands‑on, fast‑moving business with big ideas and high standards. We care about building distinctive venues with genuine personality, and we’re looking for someone who wants to bring them to life every day.
The role
This is a hands‑on marketing and content role across all four venues. You’ll create content, manage social media, plan email campaigns and help bring campaigns, events and promotions to life. Working alongside the Founder, Creative Director, Operations Manager and venue teams, you’ll help turn ideas into campaigns, content and memorable guest experiences. This is a doing role, not a management one. One afternoon you might be filming noodles at Uncle Tiger, the next you’re scheduling an email campaign, organising POS for a seasonal promotion or turning around a poster for a last‑minute event. Most importantly, you’ll instinctively understand that each venue has its own personality. Switching naturally between the playful irreverence of Uncle Tiger, the warmth of The Captain Darling, the energy of Bodega and the character of Lucky Yu is one of the most important parts of the role.
What you’ll do
Content & Social
- Own the day‑to‑day running of each venue’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok and Facebook).
- Plan, create and schedule engaging content across all four brands.
- Write captions and marketing copy that capture each venue’s unique tone of voice.
- Film and edit short‑form video content in venue.
- Build and maintain a reusable content library.
- Engage with our community through comments, messages, tags and reviews.
- Track what’s working and adapt content accordingly.
Campaigns & CRM
- Plan, write and deliver email campaigns using our CRM platform.
- Help grow and segment customer databases.
- Work with the Founder and Creative Director to deliver seasonal campaigns, promotions and launches across all venues.
- Help plan and deliver events, promotions and seasonal campaigns across all four venues.
Marketing Operations
- Coordinate the production and rollout of marketing materials across all venues.
- Organise print collateral, POS, signage and promotional materials.
- Liaise with printers, suppliers and venue teams to ensure campaigns are delivered on time.
- Help coordinate merchandise and branded materials.
- Keep Google Business Profiles and third‑party listings accurate and up to date.
- Maintain a simple marketing calendar so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Turn around ad hoc marketing requests quickly and confidently.
- Help deliver all the little details that elevate guest experiences—from merchandise and branded touches to the finishing touches that help bring each venue’s world to life.
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a hands‑on marketing or content role, ideally in hospitality, retail, food & drink or another consumer‑facing business.
- An excellent writer with a strong instinct for character and tone of voice.
- Able to switch naturally between four very different brands and make each one feel authentic.
- Confident creating short‑form content for social media, including filming and editing on your phone.
- Comfortable using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent).
- Experience using email marketing or CRM platforms.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to juggle multiple priorities.
- Based in or around Edinburgh and happy to spend time in the venues.
Desirable
- Hospitality marketing experience.
- Photography/video skills.

You’ll thrive here if…
- You love making things happen.
- You enjoy switching between different creative voices and brand personalities.
- You notice the little details that other people miss.

- You believe great hospitality starts long before someone walks through the door.
What you’ll get
- A genuinely varied creative role where no two days are the same.
- The opportunity to work across four distinctive hospitality brands.
- Direct access to decision-makers and the chance to see your work come to life quickly.
- Plenty of autonomy, ownership and variety.
- Staff discounts, meals and other benefits (to be confirmed).
