The predicted salary is between 24000 - 40000 £ per year.

At InstaGroup we are recognised nationally for our experience, technical knowledge, and expertise.
We are currently delivering double digit growth year on year, with part of this growth being the development of our Solar PV department.

With this, we are looking to bring on-board an experienced and qualified Electrician that is confident in offering great customer service to our clients as well as supporting in the training of an Electrical Apprentice. As an Electrician at InstaGroup, key responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnose and address functionality and safety issues.
  • Plan and design and install indoor and outdoor electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems, including fuses, transformers and circuit breakers.
  • Stay apprised of revisions to relevant building and safety regulations.
  • Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • To support and train an Electrical Apprentice four days per week, ensuring that they are receiving the correct training, taking the time to explain and to be patient always.

This job will be for you if:

  • Previous industry experience and knowledge. You will have a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  • Solar PV qualifications is essential. Training qualifications provided specialising in this area.
  • Strong organisation skills to plan & liaise with sub-contractors to set up and run sites
  • You communicate clearly. You can explain anything to anyone, and you are comfortable communicating in person, in writing and on the phone
  • You are good with people. The job will require you to coordinate on site and with the customer
  • Passion for the industry. Specifically for the renewable energy sector
  • You are tenacious. You have high energy & professional enthusiasm to deliver on your goals. You don\’t give up and enjoy a challenge.
  • You are a confident and patient leader. As part of this role, you will have an Electrical Apprentice to support in their training four days per week. (not required if no further apprentice is hired)

Qualifications required;

  • Full driving licence required.
  • NVQ level 3 technical qualification.
  • BPEC – Installation & maintenance of small-scale solar PV systems. 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds requirement for electrical installations (18th Edition) (BS7671 Level 3)
  • City & Guilds fundamental inspection, testing & initial verification (Level 2)
  • Level 3 Certificate in Installing, Testing and Ensuring Compliance of Electrical Installations in Dwellings
  • Level 3 in Requirements for Electrical Installation BS7671 2018
  • Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
  • Level 3 in Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings
  • Recognised Solar qualifications required or the equivalent of Napit and MCS accredited, Bpec Solar and BESS, L3 solar and battery
