Job Description

In the role of Senior Consultant, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design, and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create innovative, high-quality, and defect-free solutions to meet our clients’ business needs.

Technology:

  • Over 12 years of hands-on Functional & Data testing experience for Oil and Gas upstream.
  • Hands-on Functional testing experience for Oil and Gas upstream applications such as Geology, reservoir modelling, and Geophysical applications.
  • Working knowledge of different upstream specific tool sets such as Petrel and third-party applications interfacing with such systems/tools.
  • Very good understanding of Oil & Gas subsurface applications and their associated plugins.
  • Manage all activities related to different oil and gas applications, workflow, customization, and enhancement.
  • Good understanding of upstream applications used for Oil and Gas in managing oil wells and subsurface.
  • Ability to use code repos such as GIT, ADO, and TFS.
  • Lead and manage testing resources, monitor performance of the teams, and ensure the delivery of testing/project objectives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders including Business Owners and Subject Matter Experts to gather requirements and understand the new applications to be deployed as part of major and minor deployments.
  • Adequate experience in Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Non-Functional Testing, Smoke Testing, Compatibility Testing, and Image Testing.
  • Evaluate different tools for automating applications and products and develop Test Strategy for the overall program.
  • Well-versed with automation testing tools and technologies such as C#, .Net, Specflow, Tosca, and BDD.
  • Good understanding of different types of applications such as web-based, thick client, and products.
  • Clear understanding of databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and data models.

Critical Thinking and Communication:

  • Ability to analyze scenarios and develop test Strategy and Approach.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve issues applying knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts of interest in the team.
  • Ability to challenge incorrect statements or assumptions.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, including Product owners, to understand requirements by asking the right questions.

Preferred:

  • Good understanding of different technologies used in application development and ability to use automated test cases to perform testing.
  • Ability to analyze and develop appropriate Test scenarios by applying knowledge and expertise to support customer needs.
