To work effectively to meet company delivery expectations whilst ensuring safety, cost and quality goals are also met.
Responsibilities
- Ensure welding compliance in respect of identity, traceability, H&S and quality requirements
- Ensure operating procedures are followed to ensure weld quality is maintained.
- To produce fabrications in accordance with manufacturing drawings.
- To utilise metal cutting equipment ensuring safety standards are achieved
- Perform pre-use checks on all welding associated plant and report faults
- To have a close working relationship with staff to improve services to customer
- Ensure effective shift communication
- Any other reasonable duties as required or deemed necessary to ensure the quality of goods is met and work is carried out in a health and safe fashion.
- Ensure corrective action is taken following internal audit reports on any plant or equipment within the department
Qualifications/Experience
- Time served apprenticeship
- Pulse TIG Weld Overlay and Sub-Arc Welding advantageous
- Solid understanding of welding equipment
- Ability to interpret technical plans and drawings
- Good communication skills
