The Role
Based at the Oikos terminal on Canvey Island (with the option of hybrid working) as IT Manager you will oversee the company’s IT systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, line of business applications and outsourced IT service management. You will play a key role as part of the Senior Management Team in aligning technology with business goals, ensuring system reliability, and managing vendor relationships to deliver high-quality IT services.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the planning, implementation, and management of IT systems across the organization as part of our “digitalisation” strategy
· Promote the use of Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Office, etc.)
· Manage relationships with outsourced IT service providers, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met
· Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data protection policies
· Collaborate with department heads to identify and deliver technology solutions
· Develop and manage the IT budget, procurement, and asset lifecycle
· Ensure compliance with Cyber security standards and regulatory requirements (CAF, NIS, OG86, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
· Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, preferably in an industrial environment (COMAH site experience a plus)
· Good all-round business process understanding, including Finance, Engineering and Operations
· Strong hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 (Office, SharePoint, Power Automate, etc.) and line of business applications
· Demonstrated success in managing outsourced IT services and vendor contracts
· Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity best practices
· Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
· Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified, ITIL, PMP) are a plus
