Are you an exceptional engineer ready to take ownership of technical direction and help build something ambitious?
A Technical Lead is needed to join one of London’s fastest-growing start-ups, taking ownership of complex engineering projects and playing a key role in shaping the technology as the business scales.
This is more than a hands-on engineering role. They’re looking for someone who can make high-level technical decisions, lead from the front and take real responsibility for what gets built and how.
You’ll have the freedom to challenge existing approaches, drive architecture and set the standard for engineering across the team. It’s an opportunity to have a genuine impact in a fast-moving environment where technical decisions matter.
This is an in-office role in London.
Who you are
- 5+ years of professional experience, including senior experience
- Proven experience taking ownership of major projects, from architecture through to production.
- Comfortable leading technical decisions, mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards.
- Equally happy discussing system design and getting hands-on with difficult technical problems.
- Someone who thrives in fast-moving environments
- Rust experience is a plus, but exceptional technical ability matters most.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning technical direction and making key architectural decisions.
- Leading complex projects from initial design through to delivery.
- Setting engineering standards around performance, reliability and code quality.
- Mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on with the most challenging problems.
- Working closely with the wider business to turn ambitious ideas into robust technical solutions.
What’s on offer
- Genuine ownership over technical strategy and architecture.
- Working in greenfield code deliberately prioritising performance, memory safety, concurrency and reliability
- Joining a team of highly-skilled engineers
- Being a part of a project that is well-backed and high-growth
