We are currently working with a specialist technology organisation that is looking to recruit an experienced Hardware Engineer.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working on complex electronic systems and wants genuine ownership of projects from design through to implementation.
You'll be working across areas including PCB design, FPGA development, embedded software and high-speed electronics, with the opportunity to work alongside engineers from other disciplines.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing complex PCBs incorporating FPGAs, SoCs and high-speed interfaces
- Working with analogue/RF signal filtering
- Developing and implementing signal, image and data processing algorithms using VHDL
- Schematic capture and hardware design
- Managing PCB layout, fabrication and assembly activities
- Bringing PCBs into operation
- Writing test firmware and software
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to other engineers
What we're looking for
Our client is looking for someone with:
- A relevant degree or PhD in a numerate/technical discipline
- 3+ years' relevant engineering experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience in at least one of:
- Embedded C/C++ development
The strongest candidates will be technically curious, comfortable working independently and capable of operating across hardware and software boundaries.
